1. Maastricht University Holland-High Potential scholarship

You can get a scholarship in Netherlands without IELTS with Maastricht University. The Maastricht University (UM) Holland-High Potential Scholarship programme offers 24 full scholarships. Each of the scholarships is worth €29,000, and it covers tuition fees and other expenses.

The scholarships are given, every year, to international students from non-EU (European Union) countries. each academic year for highly talented students from outside the (EU) who have been admitted to a master’s programme at UM.

The Scholarship scheme is a joint effort of both the High Potential Scholarship and the Holland Scholarship. The High Potential Scholarship is funded by the Maastricht University Scholarship Fund, while the Holland Scholarship is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in conjunction with Dutch universities.

The duration for the scholarship is 13 months for a one-year master programme and 25 months for a two-year master programme, respectively.

Other than tuition, the scholarship also covers living expenses, visa application costs, health & liability insurance, and pre-Academic training costs.

Note that only non-EU students can apply for this scholarship to study in Netherlands without IELTS.

2. Radboud University Scholarship

Pursue a Master’s degree with this scholarship in Netherlands without IELTS. Radboud Scholarship Programme is for students outside the European Economic Area (EEA). The scholarship is merit-based, so, it is awarded to only those with outstanding results from their previous study programmes.

Radboud Scholarship Programme funds scholarships for students to undergo one of the English taught Master’s degree programmes in the Netherlands. Erasmus Mundus Master’s programmes and joint-degree Master’s programmes are excluded from Radboud scholarships.

With a Radboud Scholarship, you will only have to pay a tuition fee to € 2,209. This means that if you are one of the grant holders in 2022/2023, you will pay a tuition fee of only €2,209,- instead of €16,000.

The scholarship also covers other costs including visa, residence permit, health insurance and liability insurance. However, it does not support the costs of living and studying in The Netherlands.

Orange Knowledge Programme awards scholarships in Netherlands without IELTS. The scholarship programme is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. International students can, through the scholarship Programme, study at one of the higher institutions of learning in the Netherlands.

Eligible students for these scholarships are those from selected countries in Africa and Asia. And, the scholarships are available for short courses and master’s programmes. The duration for the short courses is 2 weeks-12 months, while that for the master’s study is 12-24 months.

There are a number of scholarships in Netherlands without IELTS at TU Delft University. The scholarships at TU Delft are awarded by Justus & Louise Van Effen Excellence Scholarship programme which is funded by Justus & Louise van Effen foundation.

Justus & Louise van Effen Excellence Scholarships are merit-based and are awarded to international students to study for a 2-year Master’s programme at TU Delft. The scholarship covers tuition fees and parts of living expenses.

5. Holland Government Scholarship

This is a partial scholarship in Netherlands without IELTS. This scholarship is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as well as several Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences.

The scholarship is worth €5,000, which will be awarded in the first year of your studies. You can only receive the scholarship once.

The Holland Scholarship is open to International Students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Also, to be considered eligible for the scholarship, you have to be applying for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s programme at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions.

Eligibility for this scholarship is for students from the Least Developed Countries and Other Low-Income Countries on the DAC list.

The Kipaji Scholarship Fund was created by alumni and relations of the University of Twente in collaboration with the staff at the University of Twente. A fundraising campaign is held every year, for alumni and employees to donate to the scholarship fund.

The value of the scholarship is up to € 12,000. The scholarship money is meant to offset some of the costs of studying, with it not covering any designated cost. Thus, it is up to the scholarship student to decide how to spend the money.

7. University of Twente Scholarships (UTS)

The University of Twente offers about 50 scholarships to study in Netherlands without IELTS. The scholarships are for students from both EU/EEA as well as non-EU/EEA countries applying for a Master’s programme at the University of Twente.

The scholarship is worth € 3,000 – € 22,000 for a year. The scholarship money is meant to offset some of the costs of studying, with it not covering any designated cost. Thus, it is up to the scholarship student to decide how to spend the money.
