My lecturer has been failing me for 4 years, because of my girlfriend (University student Cries out)
My name is Olumide, a student at one of the top Nigerian Universities in the Southwest. I am currently studying Agricultural Economics, a course meant to be 5 years but which is now taking me nearly 7 years to study, thanks to a cruel lecturer in my department.
I was at 300 level first semester when I unknowingly had a clash with my lecturer. There was this direct entry girl in my faculty I met. The girl is beautiful, we became friends and eventually got dating. Unknown to me, this particular lecturer had an interest in this girl. I never knew my lecturer has a thing for this girl too.
I have been failing this lecturer’s course and one other course like that which happens to be taken by his friend since then. It took me a spillover in my final year to discover where I have erred. This lecturer has been failing me from 300 Level up till 500 Level before I found out he was failing me because of the girl I was dating.
The Girl in question has graduated and I am still in school battling with my second extra year without the hope of graduating anytime soon.
I personally met this man to talk to him about it but he said he has no hand in it. But from the way he talks, it’s obvious he has a hidden reason for failing me.
I spoke to the girl who is now my ex, about the Issue. She advised me to meet with the lecturer and appease him like I’m appeasing the gods of my home town.
She later revealed to me that the man has been toasting her since around the time we met. But she never agreed to date him, and the man is aware of our relationship. So, the man felt I was the one blocking his way to my ex.
Now, I am planning to go beg my lecturer for something that is not an offense. But before I go, I felt I should table this to other students out there. I desperately need your advice. What should I do? What if the man refuses to forgive me and let me go just like the first time I went to plead for his mercy? I wish I could turn back the hands of time and not meet my ex-girlfriend instead of becoming an “ancestor” on my school campus.
I will appreciate every bit of advice, I can get on the matter…
I will be in the comment section to read from you…
